Custom plasticizing assemblies

A custom plasticizing request needs a clear system boundary. Identify the components, interfaces and operating context before discussing a new or modified assembly.

01

Draw the boundary of the request

List the screws, barrels and front-end parts included. Identify retained drive, heating, mounting and head interfaces. This keeps a component request from quietly becoming an undefined full-system project.

02

Organize drawings and measurements

Use approved drawings and authorized measurement records. When reverse-engineering is requested, identify the available sample and the information gaps. The feasibility and extent of that work must be agreed first.

03

Create a review and acceptance record

Document critical dimensions, mating interfaces, material evidence and required checks. Keep requested improvements separate from verified performance so the project has clear, reviewable acceptance criteria.
