For an injection screw and barrel, start with the molding machine, material and complete front-end assembly. A component drawing should explain the installation as well as the part itself.
Describe the molding context
Record resin, additives, material changes and the part being molded. State the observed issue and when it appears. Keep machine settings and component observations in the same project record for a more useful review.
Include the complete front end
Document the screw tip, check ring, seat and connecting interfaces where applicable. A part that appears similar is not automatically interchangeable; match the drawing, mating components and installation requirements.
Prepare a controlled replacement request
Include machine identification, drawing revision, dimensions with units, quantity and acceptance requirements. Product geometry and supply scope must be agreed for the specific project before an offer.
