01

Service scope and part assessment

The service scope includes screw rust maintenance, preparation of used screws for refurbishment and coordinated barrel maintenance. Identify the machine, material, geometry, corrosion depth and repair history before deciding whether treatment is appropriate. Single screws, parallel pairs and conical pairs need their own mating drawings; a family illustration does not confirm every model can be accepted.

02

Cleaning, inspection and finishing

Select a controlled cleaning route with the aim of preserving flight contours and mating dimensions. Rust removal alone is not dimensional restoration or a guarantee against damage. Penetrant or other inspection, polishing, coating and wear repair can be coordinated within an agreed project. Confirm the method, acceptance criteria, remaining stock and sequence for each part; a bright surface does not demonstrate freedom from defects or restored performance.

03

Shutdown planning, batches and packing

Plan centralized maintenance around production shutdowns and factory overhaul schedules. Define the boundary of batch dismantling, on-site support and workshop processing. Location, machine conditions, responsibilities, quantity and timing require project agreement. Link handover records to part identity, before/after observations, measurements or inspection documents and protective packing to protect flights and mating surfaces during handling.
